Sharad Pawar, with the goal the making education accessible to the poor and deserving, laid the foundation of `Vidya Pratishthan` almost 30 years ago.
Vidya Pratishthans Vasantrao Pawar Law College - Baramati has given firm financial support to various other educational institutions in Baramati area. In 1972, Vidya Pratishthan began its journey by offering scholarships to bright students coming from weaker economic background. It has always nurtured the dream of helping to build a generation with strong ethical foundations; value consciousness and a profound desire serve the country. Curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities of the college are going smoothly. The College also intends to commence a post H.S.C. Five years LL.B.(B.S.L.) College provides Diploma and Bachelor Degree program to the college students.

Vidya Pratishthans Vasantrao Pawar Law College - Baramati provides hostel facility. Students housing is offered in the form of two Boys and two Girls Hostels. Hostel facilities for 1450 students give them spacious and clean accommodation. College has provided a hostel with all necessary facilities to 1000 boys and 1000 girls as a intake capacity in the campus. The Hostel is provided with library, reading hall, and the separate dining hall. Discipline and studious atmosphere is meticulously maintained in the Hostel. Canteen and Mess Healthy and wholesome food are available in the campus.

The Computer Science Laboratory and the Language Laboratory to teach English language to students are special attractions for all the students of the college. Results are on an average 80 % for the junior wing and 60% for the senior with most of the students ranking high in their grades. Students have achieved remarkable success in the areas of culture, sports and co-curricular activities along with their strong pursuit of academics. They also participate in programmes such as Adult education, Health awareness, Population control etc. The College successfully implements this scheme in collaboration with University of Pune and insures the help to 20 needy and deserving students.
