The Congregation of Mother of Carmel (C.M.C.), founded in 1866 by Blessed Chavara Kuriakose Elias and the Carmelite Missionary Fr. Leopold Beccaro, is the first indigenous Congregation of Kerala. Sad at the barrenness of Syro-Malabar Church of Kerala in nurturing saints, they founded our Congregation so that women also could have the same chance, as men to lead a consecrated life, love God and neighbor and serve with total commitment. Residence facilities are available in the campus. There are two hostels attached to the Vimala College - Thrissur, , which accommodates nearly 600 students, Deepa Hostel and Deepthi Hostel. The two hostels are under the direct control of the Principal and under the immediate management of the wardens. Those who would like to stay in the hostel should apply for it in the prescribed form. Admission and Fee regulations will be as per the stipulated hostel rules.Light refreshments are provided to the students and staff of the college with utmost hygiene. There are two full time counsellers, a typist and a peon.
