Arisen Ahubudu was a famous poet, orator, scholar, playwright of Sri Lanka. He was born on March 18, 1920 in Sri Lanka. He attended the Kataluwa government school for early education and later joined the Nittambuwa Teacher Training College. He was awarded by the Government of Sri Lanka several times for his literary works. For 42 continuous years, he rendered his services as a teacher at Holy Trinity College in Nuwara Eliya and other colleges like Mahinda College, Galle and Maha Bodhi College, Maradana. At the age of 91, Arisen Ahubudu died on 26 May 2011 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
