UMAK or The University of Makati operates as a city university in Makati City, Philippines. It started its journey in the year 1972 as Makati Polytechnic Community College. UMAK became a chartered university on December 19, 1991 via a Municipal Ordinance and later on changed to the University of Makati. College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education, College of Governance and Public Policy, College of Allied Health Studies, Medical Informatics Development Center, College of Business Administration and College of Technology Management are some of the colleges and centers in the university.
