Nazir Ahmed, Baron Ahmed also known as The Lord Ahmad is a British politician and a member of British House of Lords. He was born on 24 April 1957 in Mirpur, Pakistan. Lord Nazir Ahmad started his political career in 1990 as a Councillor of Labour Party. In 1993, He became the head of South Yorkshire Labour Party and became the member of house of Lords on 13 October 1998. He is also the founder of British Muslim Councillors' Forum .
