Amrapali Institute of Hotel Management – AIHM Haldwani is approved by "All India Council for Technical Education" (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Government of India, New Delhi. Institute is promoted by the Modern Academy Society, Modinagar. Appreciating the difficulties faced by the youth of the area and also due to the paucity of suitable professional Institutes in Kumaun region, the Management decided to set up Amrapali Institute at Haldwani the gateway to Kumaun region in the year 1999. The aim of Amarpali Institute of Hotel Management – AIHM Haldwani is to provide and promote quality professional education for the new generation and future executives. It is the first affiliated and approved Institute of Kumaun region providing Hospitality and Catering Management education from the base level.
The Campus of Amrapali Institute of Hotel Management – AIHM Haldwani is spread over an area of 19 Acres of land with an impressive building which is located at Lamachaur, 12 Kms away from Haldwani on the Haldwani - Ramnagar Road. Amrapali Institute of Hotel Management – AIHM Haldwani is situated at Shiksha Nagar, Lamachaur, Haldwani (Nainital), Uttaranchal. The Campus site is named 'Shiksha Nagar' and is equipped with well state of the art Labs, Library, Computer Centre, Hostel and Play fields etc.

Amarpali Institute of Hotel Management – AIHM Haldwani emphasize on the practical aspects of education and imparts sufficient practical input for the student through its state of the art training Labs and also with ample space and modern equipment, to provide individual training to each Individual. The Food Production Labs are well equipped, there are specialized kitchens for imparting practical knowledge to the students, and we impart practical skills to the students through different specialized training labs for each year. Amrapali Institute of Hotel Management – AIHM Haldwani has two simulation restaurants to provide the students with hands on food & beverage service skills, also we have a mock bar, and we also do have a tie up with the Bar Academy, Delhi to impart bar tending to the students. The Housekeeping department is also well equipped with a mock suite room and also it has an operational laundry.

IT infrastructure created in the campus provides ambience for resource sharing such as networked file and print services, mail services, student feedback system, centralised maintenance management, administrative services etc. on the network.
Amrapali Institute of Hotel Management – AIHM Haldwani provides uninterrupted internet services to all its employees, faculty. The hostel is equipped with internet, file and print services. The student can have access to these services through his / her own computer, and also through the centralised lab. The institute has an internet leased bandwidth of 2 Mbps availed from Radio Link connectivity, with necessary backup. Also Wi fi network is provided within the campus. Also the institute has self developed PMS software for student routine practice is also available through LAN. The institute also has state of the art audio visual lab with LCD projector, and OHP facility.

The building is free from any outside disturbance and guarded by the security staff during the night. Two lady wardens look after the hostlers. The hostel students commute daily via the institute bus. Construction of new hostel building inside the Shiksha Nagar Institute complex is likely to commence soon.

A number of Inter and Intra Institute events are organized all-around the year and evoke keen participation.
