Ranganathan Engineering College – REC Coimbatore is located in Viraliyur Post, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.Hostel facility of College is not a hotel where students board and lodge. It is intended to be “a home away from home” with an academic atmosphere, where the inmates live as one community devoted to learning. The rules of the hostel are framed with the main objectives of student’s welfare. Inmates of the hostel are expected to follow the rules very strictly. If the students feel that the rules are a burden for them they are advised not to join the hostel. Inmates of the hostel are personally responsible for the electrical fitting and other furniture in their rooms. It should be maintained properly and returned at the time of leaving the hostel. Cost of repairs/replacement for any damages done will be recovered from them.

Sports facility of Ranganathan Engineering College – REC Coimbatore Anna University organized a world Classical Tamil Conference Awareness Mini Marathon Race – 2010 at Government college of Technology on 19.06.2010. Ninety of our students participated in the race. They won the Best Participation Award and Trophy.
