Apeejay Education Society founded Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon in 1997 with a view to make it one of the renowned seats of learning in the fields of Science and Technology in our country. Our immediate aim is to upgrade this institution into a University so that we may do world-class teaching and research relevant to our industry. Our emerging profile is to equip Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon students and teachers with talents, technologies, and resources so that they are ever ready to help our corporate sectors for emerging as the leaders in the global market. To this end, we are dedicated to create professionals and engineers with know-how and confidence who are the future leaders in various sectors of our economy. The excellent result of our Final Year Students in three successive batches is a happy augury towards the fulfillment of our efforts to achieve academic excellence. Indeed, we are highly encouraged by the academic performance of our students and faculty members, and we would like to do even much better in future.
Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon has excellent R & D infrastructure and service facilities. We invite captains of trade and industry to let us know the projects they have for investigation. We would constantly remain in touch with them and would provide them with high quality of consultancy services in a given deadline of time. We also request them to come forward and give our students opportunities for training them in their organizations.
Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon is situated at Village – Silani (Sohna - Palwal Road) Dist. Gurgaon, (Haryana). Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon has a well equipped library in a separate block. It consists of a central reading hall, newspapers and periodical sections, scholarly journal room and a multimedia library. The Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon library is well staked with latest books and journals in the various fields of science, technology and management. It also has a books / e-books on competitions and career development. The library has a growing collection of thirty three thousand books. Almost all journals of IEEE, IEE and Other publications in engineering sciences are available through on-line facilities of INDEST. Besides, a large number of journals and magazines in print are also subscribed.
Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon library provides learning / researching resource to students and teachers regarding latest world wide developments in higher education, research and placement activities. It also has a growing collection in the area of communication skills, teaching English as a second language, and books of general interest in humanities, social sciences and personality development. The library DELNET (Developing Library NET work ) and INDEST (Indian National Digital Library in Science and Technology) facilities. These can be accessed from the library as well as from the other department/ labs of the college.
Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon has well furnished separate hostels for boys and girls within the campus viz. Vivekanand hostel for 200 boys and Sarojni Naidu hostel for 101 girls. A New Boys' Hostel with a capacity of 319 units is nearing completion and will become functional in the ensuing session. Internet facility through wireless local area network has also been planned for the hostel residents, such that they can access to internet from their room if their computer has Bluetooth communication interface. All hostels of Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon provide good accommodation and facility for extra curricular activities. Each hostel has its own mess, round the clock electricity, RO water supply, indoor and outdoor games facilities.
The library, Computer Lab and Internet facilities are also provided to the hostel residents beyond normal working hours and on holidays. PCO and Canteen are also available within the Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon campus. The students are advised to avail themselves of the hostel facilities available in the campus, instead of commuting long distance by own/ hired vehicles. This will help to avoid wastage of time, physical exertion and mental agony of the parents. The newly admitted students are advised to fill the hostel requisition form at the time of reporting, so that seat in hostel is reserved for them.
Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon has different Labs : Physics lab, Chemistry lab, Electrical Technology Lab, Electrical Workshop, Five Computer Labs, Mechanical Tech. Lab, Applied Mechanics Lab, Mech. Workshop, Electronics Project Lab, Satellite Communication Lab, Computer Based Instrumentation Project Lab, Digital Process Computer Lab, Microprocessor Lab, Internet Lab, Electrical Workshop, Engineering Graphics & Drawing Hall. Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon has ten Workshops.The college has fields for the games such as Tennis, Hockey, Badminton, Cricket, Football and Volleyball. The indoor games of Carom, Table-Tennis, Chess etc. are also available in instructional area as well as in the hostels. The athletes of our college had won 21 medals in Haryana State level Track and Field events held in February '2002.
Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon holds Annual Sports and Track events to promote students for the state level competitions. Cultural Society nurtures the hobbies of the talented youngsters and also provides a platform for exchange of ideas and interaction amongst peer groups. The Society is further divided into four clubs, i.e Music, Dance, Dramatics and Fine Arts Clubs. The students, according to their interest can be a member of any of these clubs. The Cultural Society holds cultural functions in the college.
It is a fact that primary aim of most of the engineering graduates is to find a suitable job in a reputed organization after the completion of their professional education, which may provide an upward movement in their career graph. A fullfledged Training & Placement Cell in Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon prepares a placement strategy primarily based on current as well as future job markets. Apeejay College of Engineering – Gurgaon placement cell maintains an effective interaction of the institute and its fraternity with the industry. Our students undergo Summer Training in various Industries with a view to enable them to participate effectively in Industrial Projects wherein they have the opportunity to apply theoretical concepts in practical environments and develop confidence and rapport with industries. 55% of our students from the last batch have been placed in different companies of repute. 10% of our students have opted for higher studies in Indian Universities and Universities and Institutions in USA, Canada and France.
