Arunachal Law Academy – ALA Itanagar is the first and only law college in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is the dream child of the Loyola Trust to impart the best legal education to the aspiring students from all over India and abroad. ALA aims at the formation of good citizens and leaders for tomorrow not only equipped with knowledge and energy but also guided by ethical principles, values and wisdom. Arunachal Law Academy – ALA Itanagar is located at Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh. The vision of the College is to provide justice and social service oriented legal education essential to the realization of traditional values embodied in our constitution and skills required to face and meet the challenges and opportunities offered by changing modern world. There is a well furnished and carefully maintained conference hall in which Arunachal Law Academy – ALA Itanagar conducts all the conferences and staff meetings including the monthly academic progress evaluation meetings of the teaching staff. ALA has a sophisticated and well ordered library which is one of the best in the state. Within the short span of time since its inception ALA has equipped itself with a range of essential legal materials including important law reports and journals. The Arunachal Law Academy – ALA Itanagar library is always kept updated with the latest journals, books and online legal data bases.
Keeping in tune with the technological advancements of this information era, ALA has set up a good digital library with broadband connections and legal data bases like Manupatra. Arunachal Law Academy – ALA Itanagar is hopeful to add many other websites and legal data bases to its array of information resources very soon. In view of grooming the young talents and skills in advocacy the moot court hall has been established with the special mandate to conduct in-house as well as Arunachal Law Academy – ALA Itanagar moot court competitions. The moot court hall is well furnished to serve the special needs and purposes it demand and has facilities even to conduct all India moot court competitions.
ALA regularly conducts various seminars on law and allied subjects to inculcate the critical thinking and to create social, legal and practical awareness and aptitude. The Seminar hall provides the required space and comfort for such long hour exercises. Arunachal Law Academy – ALA Itanagar has a canteen which provides refreshment and nourishment to the students during the break hours. The canteen serves Indian, Chinese, Nepalese and North- Eastern dishes alike. College offers BALLB and LLB course to students.
