BPR School of Nursing - BPR SON Vellore is managed by the Dr. Balaji Health and Educational Trust, Vellore and Trust was founded in the year 1999 with aims and objects of providing. Women education and to serve the below poverty people in the field which is considered as a noble profession. BPR School of Nursing - BPR SON Vellore was started on 18th August 2008, with an annual intake of 20 female students. The School is approved by the Health & Family Welfare (PME) Department, Director of Medical Education and Govt. of Tamil Nadu. G.O. No.263, Chennai – 1, recognized by Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council. The college offers Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (D.G.N.M).
BPR School of Nursing - BPR SON Vellore is located at # 39/4, Filter bed Road, Vellore - 1. With all facilities required to impart full spectrum of nursing education. Classes are conducted in spacious, ventilated classrooms, well equipped labs, etc..; Each Department is looked after by a team of well qualified, dedicated and experienced faculty. The Management insists on a strict code of conduct fostering quality, which is in keeping with the fundamentals of good education. BPR School of Nursing - BPR SON Vellore is equipped with all modern facilities with infrastructure for providing best educational environment in Nursing Education. Nursing Pratics Laboratory is equipped with 6 demonstration beds with built in cupboards, racks, washbasins with running water supply with adequate furniture like tables, chairs, electric fittings etc., Sufficient necessary inventory articles are present in the lab for practice of nursing procedure.
BPR School of Nursing - BPR SON Vellore Nutrition and Dietics Laboratory is furnished and equipped with work tables, cooking stoves, gas connections/fittings, wash basins with running water supply, cutlery, trays, plates, dietic scales, cooking utensils, racks/shelves, refrigerators, pressure cooker, mixie and storage room for all provisional items.
There are more than 32 numbers of community bags with full set of instruments, flash cards, flannel graph, puppet shows, spring balance, mats and health related charts. BPR School of Nursing - BPR SON Vellore has tie up with Poigai Primary Health Centre (PHC), Vellore. Melvisharam PHC, Vellore and Urban Health Posts at Lakshmipuram, Vellore at Corporation City to render services to the community thereby enhancing the learning needs of students.
BPR School of Nursing - BPR SON Vellore also has Computer Training Centre with 5 sets of computer to train them with proficiency to work in computer. As now – a - days all the Labs, Hospitals, Research Labs, Nursing Home, etc., are computerized. BPR – School of Nursing trains each and every student to shine in every aspect. Auditorium is utilized for school of nursing function, educational conference and examinations etc., provided with proper stage with green room facilities.
There is a separate library in BPR School of Nursing - BPR SON Vellore with proper seating arrangement for students and teachers and it has proper lighting facilities and well ventilated.There are a sufficient number of shelves, cupboards, and racks with glass doors for proper and safe storage of books, magazines, journals and newspapers. There are more than 700 books of both Indian and foreign author books are .available. In addition to that, Internet facilities are available to students and teachers. Newsletters and annual reports of both public and private sector organizations are part of the collection made available to students. Reference, indexing and bibliographical services on nursing literature are provided. A full range of specialized software is available. We have one school van capacity of 20 seated for transport facility.
BPR School of Nursing - BPR SON Vellore has 5 acres playground for playing games like volley ball, throw ball, cricket, tennis, long jump, kho – kho, hockey, etc., Our student are trained by good qualified trainer, to make our students to involve in all games and make them physically fit rather than the subject knowledge. We have separate dining hall to students for to eat their breakfast and lunch. It is provided with drinking water, chairs and tables with proper ventilation and wash basin for hand wash.
