Bhikhabhai Jivabhai Vanijya Mahavidyalaya - BJVM Vallabh Vidyanagar established in 1951, is named after grandfather of Shri Upendrabhai M. Patel, the Chairman of Shri Dinesh Wollen Mills, Vadodara. The foundation stone was laid by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the First President of India on October 16, 1950 and was inaugurated by Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai, a renowned industrialist of Gujarat. Bhikhabhai Jivabhai Vanijya Mahavidyalaya - BJVM Vallabh Vidyanagar started functioning from June 15, 1951 with an enrolment of 51 students in its B.Com. Course. BJVM is in its th year of service to the student community and has grown in all dimensions and has become the torchbearer in academic field.

Bhikhabhai Jivabhai Vanijya Mahavidyalaya - BJVM Vallabh Vidyanagar has a splendid, rich and resourceful library with over 40,000 books, and numerous national and international journals and magazines on trade commerce and industry, CDs and videocassettes. The students can utilize a separate reading room for enriching their studies. Library offers circulation, clipping, reference, information display, and photocopying services. This laboratory is equipped with all the necessary audio-visual equipments to strengthen communication skills of the students, especially in English.
Bhikhabhai Jivabhai Vanijya Mahavidyalaya - BJVM Vallabh Vidyanagar assists in securing accommodation for out station students. The college has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls students. The hostel is in close proximity to the college and students are charged a nominal fee. Charutar Vidya Mandal manages hostel. Need for computer literacy can hardly be over emphasised. It is an integral part of higher education. It’s a boon to modern business and industry. To fulfill student’s requirement the computer center is equipped with latest computer, LAN system, LCD and Multimedia Projector. The computer center has broadband connectivity to the Internet.
Bhikhabhai Jivabhai Vanijya Mahavidyalaya - BJVM Vallabh Vidyanagar has a fully equipped A.C. Human Resource Development Laboratory with 60 seats. It provides multimedia, Internet and audio-visual facilities. All the gadgets like LCD, TV, VCR, VCP, OHP, microphone systems and computers are available in the laboratory. Various programmes to develop skills and personality of student are conducted in HRD lab, viz., creativity workshop, management lecture series, entrepreneurship awareness camps, etc.
Bhikhabhai Jivabhai Vanijya Mahavidyalaya - BJVM Vallabh Vidyanagar has a Students' Counseling Cell for all the three levels. The purpose is to help and guide students in studies, study material, career advancement and planning, job hunting, preparing for various competitive examinations and sorting out personal and social problems. Bhikhabhai Jivabhai Vanijya Mahavidyalaya - BJVM Vallabh Vidyanagar NSS unit organises various camps and activities on regular basis, viz., campus cleaning, tree plantation, blood donation camp, educational tour, debate competition, general Knowledge test, community development programme, special camp, women empowerment programme, medical camp, and eye check-up camp. The National Cadet corps, as a nursery of future young citizens of our country, is playing an important role in shaping the character of students by instilling in them the values of patriotism, service, discipline, integrity and hard work. NCC training has facilitates in a great deal in all round development of student’s personality. NCC is grooming tomorrow’s leaders. 160 cadets (Boys) and 55 cadets (Girls) of BJVM College are enrolled in 13 Gujarat Battalion and 4 Gujarat Battalion NCC, V.V.Nagar respectively.
