CVSR College of Engineering - Ranga Reddy was established in 2002 by the Gayathri Educational and Cultural Trust, taking the legacy of the trust to new heights. The college has the Vision to promote higher education in all spheres of human endeavors, to inculcate cultural ethos through ambient educational atmosphere, to participate in the scheme of social awareness through campus outreach programme. The college offers a three year Master of Computer Application Programme with an annual intake of 60 students.

CVSR College of Engineering - Ranga Reddy library consists of three sections, first - the Stocking and Issuing section, second - the Magazines, Journals and Newspapers section is arranged in lookdown area, third - a large Reading hall is provided exclusively in the first floor. The Reading hall is peaceful, well ventilated and comfortable. The library consists of over 18000 Volumes consisting of textbooks and reference books and subscribed to over 125 National and International journals.
CVSR College of Engineering - Ranga Reddy has a vast playground for cricket, volleyball, football etc. The students are encouraged to play sports and games under the able guidance of sports coaches. Sports and Games are a part of the student development at CVSR. Every year sports, games and cultural activities are organized for the students. Naturally the student community enjoys each and every moment of the competitions with active participation and spirited performances. Every year celebrities from the industry are invited to Synergy – the College Annual Day Celebration to share their experiences and give the prizes to the winners.

The academic year 2007 - 2008 is one of the most promising years as far as the placement activity is concerned. It has been an eventful year in terms of training and placement. Professionals from Satyam, TCS, Rane Engine Valves, and Juno Online Services have visited CVSR College of Engineering Campus and delivered inspiring and informational seminars which have been great motivating and attitude development sessions for the students. The results have been great with 52 from the 2009 batch being selected into Satyam the best figures in the state of Andhra Pradesh and 27 students of 2008 batch from the campus getting selected into Satyam. 13 students were selected into Birla soft, 8 into Infosys, 4 into IBM, 3 into Wipro, 4 into Infotech and other organisations.
The students are provided training in Aptitude, Reasoning, English – Spoken and Written communication Skills by inviting expert trainers from professional training organizations. An internal training team for the JKC to ensure that regular training is in process in the campus.
CVSR College of Engineering - Ranga Reddy has been proactive this year and has been associated with Infosys through the Campus Connect Program which is rolling out in the campus for the first time as a part of the JKC activity. The Students have been taken to Infosys Campus for an orientation program Campus Connect. Faculty of CSE and Soft Skills have been provided one week in-house training at Infosys Campus in Gachibowli by a team of Experts from Infosys.
