Established in the year 1999 under Nabadigant Educational Trust, College of Engineering – CEB Bhubaneswar has been engaged in providing engineering education, research and other developmental programmers in the state of Orissa in particular and our nation in general. College of Engineering – CEB Bhubaneswar is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Govt. of India, NEW DELHI. College of Engineering – CEB Bhubaneswar is accreditated by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) ,Govt. of India, New Delhi. The college has certainly been hitching its wagons to greater heights over the years under the stewardship of Er.Prabhat Ranjan Mallick, a man with vision and mission committed to contribute in the making of modern India.
College of Engineering – CEB Bhubaneswar is situated at Plot No.1A,Sector-B, Chandaka Nucleus Industrial Complex, Patia, Bhubaneswar. The total constructed area of the campus is 12 Acres. College of Engineering – CEB Bhubaneswar campus is divided into four blocks: Main Building, Lab Building, Hostel Building & Administrative Building. Main Building consists of Class Rooms, Tutorial Rooms, Computer Labs, Basic Science Labs, English communication Lab, Library, Faculty Rooms and students Common Room. The size of the Class rooms and tutorial rooms are as per AICTE norms. Rooms have proper ventilation and are equipped with Audio Systems for better lecture delivery.
Each department is provided with separate Tutorial Room. Laboratories are equipped with all modern equipments. The laboratories are under different dept. Basic Science & Humanities Dept. has Physics lab, Chemistry Lab, English Communication Lab.College of Engineering – CEB Bhubaneswar has a spacious Library with all modern Facility. A modern library has a great responsibility in harnessing and utilizing information. The CEB Library strives for a high quality of library services and is well equipped to cater to the needs of the students. Library has a good collection of text and reference books on all subjects-both technical and non-technical. There is a large collection of Magazines & journals of different stream (both Indian and foreign).
The Library provides cozy environment for the students to read and study. Where knowledge is acquired with ease. The computer labs are equipped with Pentium powered Multimedia PC with colour monitor along with high-resolution printers, which are connected to LAN, spread across all the departments in the campus. Students get internet facilities with MICROWAVE RADIO LINK. All labs under E&T Deptt. are located in the Lab building. All labs under EC & ET Deptt. are located in the lab building.
College of Engineering – CEB Bhubaneswar hostel building has a capacity of 440. Hostels located inside the campus. This provides a home like atmosphere where students live comfortably with proper care and attention. Further, 3 boys hostel is located near the college providing home like atmosphere. All the hostels are well equipped with best mess facility to provide nourishing and quality food to resident boys & girls separately. All the rooms are fully furnished with bed, study table, chair, fan & cupboard etc. There are separate play fields for Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, and Athletics. A Multi Gym and a Swimming Pool are in offing. Many students of the institute have represented BPUT. A qualified and professionally trained Sports Officer guides the students in building up their physical fitness with Yoga and Pranayam besides the normal sports and games events. College of Engineering – CEB Bhubaneswar has won laurels in extra-curricular activities too.
College of Engineering – CEB Bhubaneswar royal looking massive building has been totally devoted for student’s activities centre. It has got a Multi cushion restaurant, Multi- Gym for fulfilling the Social, cultural and mental necessities of the students. It is to be seen to be believed. Students are continuously encouraged to build their personality by participating in several co-curricular activities like Debate, Quiz, Essay Writing, Painting, Drama, Music, etc. They are allowed to participate in all India seminars at institution cost if their papers are selected. Scores of prizes have been won by our students in different competitions held at state and national levels. Canteen facilities is provided to the students.
Students can avail this facility on payment of standard charges for meal or snacks on all working days. College of Engineering – CEB Bhubaneswar has more than 100000 sq.ft. of open space. A Basket ball, Volley Ball, Badminton court has been set up in the campus. Situated in main building it has facility for indoor games like Chess, carom etc. CEB has in campus bank & post office for the students.
