Rajasthan Institute of Engineering and Technology – RIET Jaipur is being run under the aegis of "Chandrawati Education Society" which is in the field of education since 2000.The society is registered with the registrar of societies, Govt. of N.C.T. Delhi vide registration No.S.35514 of 1999,under societies registration Act. of 1860 with aim of providing quality technical education.
The society established its first institution, Rajasthan Institute of Engineering & Technology (RIET), in the year 2000, with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of HRD, and Govt. of India The society established another institution "Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women" (RCEW , Jaipur) in the year 2002 and Rajasthan Pharmacy College(RPC, Jaipur )in the year 2006.Rajasthan Institute of Engineering and Technology(RIET, Chittorgarh ) in the year 2006. Mission and Vision of Rajasthan Institute of Engineering and Technology – RIET Jaipur aims to provide world class engineering education and training faster research in technology produce competent and versatile professionals to build a strong developed nation and established itself as a leading technical institute. Library of Rajasthan Institute of Engineering and Technology – RIET Jaipur a modern library, well furnished with 25000 latest books in the field of engineering & technology, management and related to areas is directed towards academic excellence with a rich collection of exhaustive text and reference books. The library also has subscription of the e- journals (Science Direct option IV) and 85 major technical magazines and national & international journals. It is also envisaged to network the library with other national and international libraries. The book bank facility is also available for the students and SC /ST book bank exclusively established for the same category students.
The library is computerized and has conductive environment. The students are encouraged to spend maximum time in the library to keep them up to date. Library is situated in the center of the RIET and easily approachable of all the departments and students having approx 6000 sq ft area for reading and stacking area. The reading area is well furnished and air conditioned to provide the proper reading environment to the student. It provides reading space for 100 readers at a time.
Digital Library of Rajasthan Institute of Engineering and Technology – RIET Jaipur has 1500 CDs and audio, video aids with high quality multimedia systems. The digital library is connected with other national & international libraries by DELNET and also subscription of DEL (Digital Engineering Library) through INDEST AICTE Consortium.
Transportation facility of Rajasthan Institute of Engineering and Technology – RIET Jaipur has its own fleet of Buses, Vans and Cars for conveyance of staff and students from all areas and colonies of the city. In addition city bus facility is also available. The college provides transport to students for Bus Stand/ Railway Station during vacations.
