Feroze Gandhi Polytechnic - Raebareli was established in 1975; and under the G.O NO.:- 2753ED/18-GH-47-75 dated 28.8.1975 the polytechnic was started. Feroze Gandhi Polytechnic - Raebareli managed by managing committee, headed by its Chairman Capt. Satish Sharma, Member of Parliament (Rajyasabha) from U.P., Its member are experts from different fields and is represented by Govt. official and teaching staff. The students are encouraged to participate in games and sports activities which cover athletics (men and women), badminton (men and women), cricket, football, table tennis (men and women), volleyball, yoga, weightlifting, multi-gym,. These activities make the leisure hours of students profitable. Emphasis is laid on mass participation by the students. Well laid out fields are available on Feroze Gandhi Polytechnic - Raebareli campus. A cricket field and a football ground, volley ball courts (flood lit), table tennis tables (one in each hostel), two badminton courts, a stadium with standard athletics track and ancillary arrangements for athletics are the facilities available to the students. Well qualified Sports Officer assisted by physical training instructors are on the staff to help the students in developing their interest in the games and preparing them to acceptable standards. The various sports activities are organized both at the hostel and Institute level. Each hostel has a sports secretary and a captain for every game and each hostel.
Feroze Gandhi Polytechnic - Raebareli provides language laboratory. The establishment of a language learning laboratory is a major achievement of the department. Its primary purpose is to ensure that computers at the instructions of the teacher may enhance the educational benefits associated with less room based learning activities, namely shared experiences, teamwork and interaction with one's pear. The Lab also encourages inter-active sessions with the aim of developing the speaking and listening skills. It provides an exposure to correct pronunciation and super segmental features of English language, that is stress, intonation and pause. Its activities also include listening to conversation in different situations, grammar drills and vocabulary building exercises. Personality Development classes are held in the Language Laboratory.
Feroze Gandhi Polytechnic - Raebareli provides Chemistry laboratory. The Chemistry laboratory has been well equipped with sophisticated apparatus like Spectrophotometer and Digital pH meter. The most of the faculties have a number of publications in National and International Journals and have done national training programmes/Seminars/Conferences and while some of them have the experience of working in the industries. The department has a number of distinguished and eminent faculty members to strengthen the academic environment with their wide and rich experience.
Feroze Gandhi Polytechnic - Raebareli provides Physics lab. This prime Physics lab is well equipped with sophisticated apparatus i.e. Spectrometer, Polari meter, Fresnel's Bi-prism, Ballistic Constant, Nodal Slide, Newton's Ring etc. (In dark's room lab.- experiments), Hall effect assembly, Potentiometer, Four Probe method, B-H Curve, Stefan's Law, Stewart Gee's , Carey- Foster's Bridge etc.(In general lab-experiments). Most of the faculties have a number of publications in National and International Journals and Magazines and have done national training programmes/Seminars/Conferences and also some of them have supervised Ph.D. works (Thesis). Also this department has a number of distinguished and eminent faculty members to strengthen the academic environment with their decades of experience and distinguished works.
Feroze Gandhi Polytechnic - Raebareli has one unit of NSS of 50 students who are taking activity part for making awareness about the social obligation among youth. one day and special 10 day camp have been arranged in Kalloo Ka Purwa village, in which each day was dedicated for special cause, which includes awareness about General health, AIDS awareness camps , Pulse Polio Campaign, Family planning program, Literacy campaign, Removal of social evils and pollution control awareness, Plantation and new development in agriculture .One day sports meet for village children and award distribution for the children was also done, Cultural programs by NSS volunteers covering basic objective of NSS was also organized.
