Islamia Karimia College – I K College Indore is run by Islamia Karimia in itself is a milestone in the field of education. Islamia Karimia College – I K College Indore has been giving its unhindered contribution for the last 42 years. Above all, Islamia Karimia Society has completed a glorious tenure of 104 years since its inception.
The foundation of the Islamia Karimia College – I K College Indore was laid in 1952 by Dr. Zakir Hussain (The then Vice-President of India) I.K. college is affiliated to Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalya and – runs its classes at two different campus. Chhawni (Head Office) is the science Campus and has regular classes of B.Sc. Biology, Maths , Computer Science, Electronics, Computer Maintenance, Electronic Equipment, Micro-Biology, M.Sc. in Math’s and Chemistry. In addition to this, classes of Commerce and arts faculty are conducted at Palasia Campus. It includes B.com.(Plain), B.Com (Computer Application), Al., M.A. in Economics, Sociology and Urdu.
In 1994, Islamia Karimia College – I K College Indore has been chosen by U.G.C. amongst seventy colleges from all over India to run the vocational training programmes. The Islamia Karimia College – I K College Indore started three vocational courses namely Computer Maintenance, Computer Application and Electronic Equipment Maintenance in B.Sc. and B.Com.Islamia Karimia College – I K College Indore has also excelled in sports and co-curricular activities. There are independent units of N.C.C and N.S.S. The Islamia Karimia College – I K College Indore is at the fore – front in the field of sports. We have many championship to our credit and host many inter collegiate tournaments.
