KGiSL Institute of Technology – KITE Coimbatore was started in the year 2008 by the Padmashri Dr. G. Bakthavathsalam, MS, FICS, FCCP, FAMS, FMMC; founder-Chairman of KG Hospital. The main objective of KGiSL Institute of Technology – KITE Coimbatore is to provide industry embedded education and to mold the students for leadership in industry, government, and educational institutions; to advance the knowledge base of the engineering professions; and to influence the future directions of engineering education and practice.

He possesses valuable experience in computer science and other functions in Industry Majors. He also has got a decade old experience as Training & Placement Head in reputed college. The Centre is supported by student and faculty coordinators from each department. The centre is provided with adequate non teaching staff.
