KNGD Modi Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research – KNGDMIPER Modinagar is located at Modinagar (in UPwithin NCR) on the National Highway - 58 (connecting Delhi-Meerut Dehradun) and is at a distance of about 32 kms from Delhi border. College offers Bachelor of Pharmacy course to students. The present KNGD Modi Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research – KNGDMIPER Modinagar complex has spacious and air-conditioned lecture halls, a state-of- theart computer centre, a modern library, multiple conference rooms and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 250 persons. The complex also provides comfortable accommodation to students in hostels and to visitors in well furnished air-conditioned guest-rooms. The well stocked automated library with adequate reading room facilities is the nerve centre of the KNGD Modi Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research – KNGDMIPER Modinagar where students gain access to all forms of published knowledge. It has Electronic Journal Server (EJ server) for 460 online journals and more than 30 pharmaceutical journals including hard bound and business magazines as well. Multiple copies of various types of newspapers and all leading newspapers are subscribed and it is a repository of rare collections. Library is fully automated and has E-library software. Additionally, it also caters to the needs of preparation of course specific material related to the academic programme. KNGD Modi Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research – KNGDMIPER Modinagar has a state-of-the-art computer centre equipped with over 30 individual nodes with high speed processors on LAN having Window Operating System and an HPML 15043 server. The software library is continuously updated and various key softwares available are UNIX, LINUX, Windows NT, Windows XP, Window Vista, OFFICE XP, TURBO C, TURBO and C++. KNGD Modi Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research – KNGDMIPER Modinagar computer centre also has 2 Mbps high speed internet connectivity using RF Technique, enabling the faculty and students to link up with the outside world uninterruptedly. The wi-fi access points throughout the campus extend the learning experience and opportunity beyond the confines of classroom. The computer network is complemented with a host of ink-jet and laser network printers, scanner and other supporting peripherals. Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab is meant for test for identification of impurities, synthesis and purification of chemical compounds. It is also used to carry limit tests for impurities. Laboratories are Equipped with Modern Instruments and other Infrastructure required for day to day practical training. Pharmaceutical Analysis Lab of KNGD Modi Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research – KNGDMIPER Modinagar is used for analysis and quality assessment of drugs and their formulation. The laboratory is also suitable for conducting quality control studies on finished products. Human Anatomy and Physiology laboratory is meant for anatomical, histological, hisopathological studies of cells and tissue of various organs. Many models and charts of various systems are available for easy understanding of the human physiology. Various hematological and serological examinations can also be carried out in this lab.Pharmaceutics Lab of KNGD Modi Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research – KNGDMIPER Modinagar laboratory is suitable for preparation, evaluation and packing of different formulations like tablet, capsule, liquid dosage forms, injectable etc. and for their quality control studies. It is also suitable for developing novel drug delivery system, sustained release formulations, stability studies and accelerated stability studies of drugs - dosage forms. KNGD Modi Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research – KNGDMIPER Modinagar Pharmaceutical Microbiology lab with its attached aseptic room as per GMP guide lines is suitable for preparation and sterilization of culture media both for static and broth cultures. It is also used for standing and identification of bacteria and fungi. The lab is also suitable for evaluation of antiseptics and disinfectants, for the determination of Phenol coefficient, microbial assay of vitamins and antibiotics etc. CIF is developed at KNGDMIPER to house the instruments like Waters HPLC System, Shimadzu Double Beam UV Spectrophotometer with scanning facility, Flame Photometer, Lyophyllizer, Brookfield Viscometer etc which are required for research studies in Pharmacy.
