Nalini Arvind and T V Patel Arts College – Anand was awarded 'Best College Award' by the Govt. of Gujarat during the year 1980 in the very first year of its institution. It was also one of the about forty colleges selected from all over the country by the UGC for participation in COHSSIP during 1975-80. UGC, in the beginning of its first phase, selected only 70 colleges from all over India for introduction of Vocational subjects, and Nalini Arvind and T V Patel Arts College – Anand was the only Arts college in Gujarat selected in the beginning of the Project. In order to enhance the employablility of Arts Graduates, the college has introduced some job-oriented courses like Business Organisation, Translation, Journalism, Local self Govt. etc. Experienced and eminent scholars are invited to deliver lectures on varied topics.
