Maharaja Co education College of Arts and Science – Perundurai was founded in the year 1990 by “Paramasivam - Palanisamy Charitable Trust”. The college is situated 3km from Perundurai., and fulfill the norms stipulated by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Bharathiar University. Thus Maharaja Co education College of Arts and Science – Perundurai came into being as 1st September’90 with student strength of 80 and offering three Under Graduate Degree Courses. Since then the college has secured affiliation to many more UG to PG Courses, MCA & MBA Programmes also started with the approval of the All India Council of Technical Education, Delhi.
Maharaja Co education College of Arts and Science – Perundurai has established excellent infrastructure, including state-of-the-art computer and internet facilities, modern workshops and labs, seminar halls, auditoriums and well stocked libraries, in addition to indoor stadium with gymnasium, sports and games fields. The trust secured the approval of the Government vide G.O. MS No. 1709(ED) dated 27.07.1990 and of the University vide University Letter No. 7766/A2/90 dated 1.9.90.

The main objectives of the Maharaja Co education College of Arts and Science – Perundurai is to establish, run, maintain and/or to promote elementary schools, matriculation schools, High schools, Colleges, Hospitals, Polytechnics, Technological institutions, Research Institutions and other educational institutions. Maharaja Co education College of Arts and Science – Perundurai wants to render social service to the lower strata of society and to help in the improvement of their status, and to award scholarships, grants, contributions to individuals for their pursuit of studies in Institutions/colleges imparting such general and technical education to the public. We hope that the Maharaja Co education College of Arts and Science – Perundurai will emerge as a premier institution of learning propagating higher moral and social values enshrined in the College motto “Knowledge for Justice, Equality and Confidence”.
In a serene environment, a specious area of 2200sq.ft, which abound with 10,000 books on various titles. It has 92 subscribed National and International Journals, Magazines, periodicals etc.. based on Management, Commerce, Computers, Sciences and Competitive to facilitate the Maharaja Co education College of Arts and Science – Perundurai students in being resourceful. It also has a computer with internet connection. Spacious hall equipped with Audio-visual aids, L.C.D and O.H.P projector facilities. Hostels for girls can accommodate 150 students; Rooms are furnished with all reasonable requirements. Maharaja Co education College of Arts and Science – Perundurai has a self-governing placement office devoted to endow placement assistance to the students through conducting on and off camps interviews. It provides a career guidance counseling to the students and also conducts workshops such as remedial program (English); soft skills and interview techniques for their successful career placement. Every year the rate of the placement is just about 75% to 85% in diverse Regional, National and IT firms.
