Print plus online abstracting, indexing and full text periodicals, CD-ROM databases, technical reports, standards and thesis are important parts of this collection. The library is open from 8.00 pm on Sunday and Gazetted holidays and for 24 hours during the three examinations each semester.
The Mahavir Institute of Engineering and Technology – MIET Bhubneswar has cozy home-like separate hostels for boys and girls with all modern amenities like bed, table, chair, electrical fittings, 24 hours water supply, TV sets, and recreation hall with facilities for indoor games. The computer center and library hall are kept open for the residents of the hostels too.
The Mahavir Institute of Engineering and Technology – MIET Bhubneswar hostel facility is not mandatory and is available to students on written request.The student has to fill in the application form and also give an undertaking in writing that he/she will abide by the Hostel Rules. Membership shall be terminated automatically at the end of each academic year. Students, who are desirous of returning to the Hostel, shall make a fresh application for readmission in the beginning of 2nd / 3rd year.
