The most notable and significant features of our institute is our college library. The library is headed by Mr. Braja Kishore Mohanty (M. Lib). More than 10,000 numbers of text /reference books, 20 numbers of national Journals and 110 no. International E-Journals are available for the students as well as teachers to update their knowledge. Government of India attaches utmost importance to the engagement of the technical graduate in engineering establishments as soon as they graduate. Every year in each technical institution in the country, there is a separate department of training and placement cell to impart meaningful training to the students and to guide them to choose the right career.
Vocational training is compulsory for all the students of 2nd year and 3rd year. Each undergraduate Jagannath Institute of Engineering and Technology – JIET Cuttack student has to undergo 60 days of practical training in an organization of repute (private sector/public sector/govt. organization) throughout India during summer vacation. It has been included in the syllabus as an essential requirement for the course. Grades are awarded for the training taken by the students. The T&P cell keeps close contact with industries all over India and arranges the training for all students of the college. More than one hundred organizations provide summer training facilities to our students.
