The campus has separate twin-occupancy hostel facilities for boys and girls. The college has independent housing facilities for the international exchange students and training programme participants. The dining facilities in the campus include a cafeteria and dining hall. A separate Indoor sports wing caters to the lovers of games like Table Tennis, caroms, chess etc. The Student Council organises a wide variety of team and individual sports activities; the annual sports day being the top among them. The information center is fully computerized with a collection of books, periodicals and non-book materials. This information center has been provided with not only scientific and engineering books but also with books of general interest catering to the personality development of the user community especially of the students.RSET library operates on an open access system. The documents are classified by the Dewey Decimal Classification scheme. "Autolib" is the software used for the computerization of the library.At present Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology - RSET Kochi library subscribes to 45 periodicals. We have a digital library with a collection of 500 CD ROMs, 100 Floppies & Cassettes. Internet facility is provided for the user community. Reprographic facility is also available in the library.
The vision of the Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology - RSET Kochi Information Centre is to develop a virtual library by adopting new information technology as per the trends. The information centre aims to fulfill the demands of the users and provide maximum online services, ie, E-journals, E-databases, CD ROM databases and to create a reading habit among the user community especially for the students and faculty by providing right information in right time.
The Placement & Guidance cell at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology - RSET Kochi has been scaling higher and higher peaks right from its first year of activity when seven top level internationally renowned companies came to the campus and recruited from the very first batch. The second year saw the number rising to 17, including two true MNCs, namely GE (Consumer and Industrial) and Robert Bosch, with all eligible students being placed - some with more than one job offer. This third year promises to be even better with all the top recruiters coming to campus.The Placement cell at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology - RSET Kochi has also been able to extend and offer its services to other engineering/MCA colleges, and more than 50 colleges have taken part in the placement process and their students placed in some of the best companies. This is done as a selfless service and has been offered free of cost to the participants.
The cell aims at finding the appropriate placement for each candidate commensurate with his/her qualifications and aptitude. It prepares students for recruitment by organizing lectures, seminars and presentations; and providing training through aptitude tests (both written and on-line), group discussions and mock interviews. It is also a source of information on job opportunities and prospects of higher education. Another feature of the placement cell is that it keeps in touch with its alumni, especially those who were not placed while on campus and offers them opportunities until they are suitably placed.
