Rungta Institute of Science and Research-RISR was established in Year : 2010. The most Prestigious and Ambitious project of Rungta group under the aegis of GD Rungta Foundation has all the good things Bhilai campus has plus it brings in much more as its being established by pouring in the benefits of all the experience and expertise gained in last 10 years while operating Bhilai campus colleges.
From day one Rungta Institute of Science and Research-RISR will have it all, sound management, experienced team of faculties, same strong Training & Placement cell plus all the intellectual capital the group has generated from other three Engineering colleges of the group. Being located in the Capital, the group plans to make it a landmark in the field of Technical education for everyone to marvel at as the most modern, hi tech institute with a global perspective.
TheRungta Institute of Science and Research-RISR initially will offer undergraduate programs in Engineering stream with Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engg., Mechanical Engg. and Civil Engineering Branches and would subsequently add other programs, branches of Engineering, Business administration as well.
Every classroom of Rungta Institute of Science and Research-RISR is equipped with roof mounted LCD projectors, 2 high resolution IP cameras, faculty podium with Tablet PC in it. Faculties now teach through the tablet and at the end of the class entire material that the faculty uses to deliver a topic gets to the student laptop automatically. Students do not worry about taking down notes in the classroom but instead concentrate upon understanding the topic.
The Rungta Institute of Science and Research-RISR maintains a huge reservoir of learning resources in local E-Learning server from where the student can retrieve notes and reference material as per their need and convenience. Doubt clearance has become a child’s play as students at their convenience raise the doubt online to the faculties and faculties in turn provide the students with solutions online, at their convenience via wi fi network. Thus the library at Rungta Group of Institutions also acquires a prominent place among the students and faculty. Each Institute within the campus houses well stocked libraries including central library and departmental libraries. The library services at are provided to students, staff & faculty members for updating their knowledge and supporting the research and teaching / learning activities

Keeping in view the fast changes in technology, the knowledge base of the library is updated regularly by way of adding new literature in the form of text books, reference books, reports, proceedings, abstracts & indexes, encyclopedias, data books, standards (National & International) Journals & database on CD-ROM. Apart from adding the new literature, the basic literature is also procured for the new programmes along with current one.
Campus of Rungta Institute of Science and Research-RISR has an Theater like auditorium with a capacity of 400 seats. The auditorium is designed fully air cooled and is equipped modern A/V facilities. The institute also has one conference hall with audio and video conferencing facilities.Students at Rungta Institute of Science and Research-RISR get the best Subject knowledge which helps in floating them into the real competitive world outside the college premises. The Group has a Placement Office situated in the campus and the management is governing the training and placement of students.
