The mission of the Central Library is to provide the right information services to right readers at right time and access to bibliographic and full text printed resources to support the scholarly and informational needs of the Institute Community. The Central Library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of CD-ROMs, On-line databases, audio video cassettes, books, e-journals, patents, e-standards, thesis, reports, monographs etc.
Internet facility of SSM College of Engineering – Namakkal has dedicated Internet facility of 4 Mbps, connected to more than Four hundred terminals throughout the Campus. Students and faculty are free to access internet this helps the students to prepare papers on the latest technologies to be presented in various symposiums and seminars.Hostel facility of SSM College of Engineering – Namakkal separate Hostel for Men, Women and International (Men & Women) students are run by the Management, with Principal as the Chief Warden. The Residential concept of SSM Hostels is to stimulate home conditions to provide them with the most conducive atmosphere to pursue their education in comfort.
SSM College of Engineering – Namakkal provides transport facilities with more than 20 buses and three vans for the convenience of staff and students from the nearest point of departure and to attend needs of industrial visits, educational tours etc. College buses are available from Salem, Sankari, Omalur, Trichencode, Erode(BS), Erode(Thindal), Erode(RS), Pallipalayam, Bhavani, Mettur, Chennampatti, Gobichettipalayam, Kavindapadi, Appakoodal, Andhiyur, Komarapalayam, Lakshminagar & Perundurai, All the buses reach the college before 8.45a.m., so that all the students and faculty get ready to attend the classes at 9.00a.m. The buses leave the campus at 4.45p.m., which helps all the students to reach home early and safely. For the benefit of those students who are attending special classes, using Internet facility, Library etc., special buses are arranged everyday which leave the campus at 5.30p.m.
Language Lab facility of SSM College of Engineering – Namakkal are meet the growing global demands, English-classrooms at SSMCE have been redesigned to become situation-based and learner-oriented. To further Accenture and enhance the performance level of our students, a language laboratory is functioning. The laboratory has a collection of learning materials which can cater to the needs of different levels of students. The software available in our lab can also help our students to prepare for competitive examinations.
Conference Hall of SSM College of Engineering – Namakkal all A/c halls are equipped with the latest teaching aids like LCD projector, slide projector and over head projector. Conference halls are for conducting guest lecturer’s symposiums, seminars, placement Training programs etc.Mineral Water Facility of SSM College of Engineering – Namakkal reverse Osmosis Plant installed in SSM caters to the drinking water needs of all the Students, Teachers, supporting Staff and the Visitors.
