The Dharma Naidu Educational and Charitable Trust of S A Engineering College – Chennai started functioning under the leadership of late Thiru.D.Sudharssanam, M.L.A. The S A Engineering College – Chennai got established in the Academic Year 1998-99 with the approval of the AICTE and affiliation with the University of Madras and the general policy of the Govt. of Tamilnadu to give high priority to Technical Education.
Impressed by the excellent record of performance of S A Engineering College – Chennai academically and in the matters of financial discipline and environment inside the campus, six U.G Programmes of B.E / B.Tech with an intake of 480 P.G. Programmes of M.E, M.C.A and M.B.A. each with an intake of 18, where approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University.

Hostel Facility of S A Engineering College – Chennai provides good and safe facilities of lodging and boarding to cater to the needs of outstation students. The library of S A Engineering College – Chennai is provided with library automation system with three Pentium computers in a network under client-server architecture. Multi-user software for library automation is available for issue, searching, administration, and reference facility for all the users. Library staff is engaged in collecting all relevant details from the dailies and reports to prepare booklets, which enables the users to attend the forth coming competitions.
Canteen facility of S A Engineering College – Chennai with a total area of 800 sq.m. is well equipped with modern steam cooking and utensils. Large Canteen hall with a facility for 400 members to dine at a time enables all students and staff to have their breakfast and lunch. Arrangement has been made for the boys and girls to dine separately. Common room facilities with indoor games are being planned to be provided in the canteen building for all students.
Transport facility of S A Engineering College – Chennai has a fleet of 23 buses to transport students and staff from various parts of the city and its neighborhood areas to the college and back home Transport facility will be arranged to every student. Every student is expected to avail the transport facility to enable him/her to be punctual to come to the college. Training and Placement Cell of S A Engineering College – Chennai fully fledged Training & Placement office, headed by Prof. Mahendhran, periodically plans and programs, aimed at placing students in various National and Multi National Companies. The Placement Committee consists of the Training and Placement Officer and Placement Coordinates of various departments, which coordinates with student representatives, works as a team to prepare the students for the corporate expectations and to invite corporate sectors to conduct on campus and joint campus selection process at out college.
