Gyan Vihar is the logical outcome of a great dream, meticulous research and development. The foundation stone of Gyan Vihar was laid down in the month of Basant when fresh and bright leaves sprout on trees as nature seems to be reborn, on 19th February 1994 by the great academician and thinker Acharya Shri Purushottam Uttam.
Suresh Gyan Vihar University-SGVU is a self finance state University vide Suresh Gyan Vihar University Jaipur Act 2008 (Act no. 16 of 2008). University Grant Commission has released it's approval for establishment of SGVU and empowered to award degrees under section 22 of UGC Act 1956.
Suresh Gyan Vihar University-SGVU operates under the guidance of Chancellor Sh. Sunil Sharma and Chief Mentor Dr. Sudhanshu. University is Governed by Board of Management & Academic Council under the leadership of several learned academicians, experienced administrators & Deans supported by numerous offices.
Suresh Gyan Vihar University-SGVU is located in the South of Jaipur abutting the area of Mahal Jagatpura spread over 8 lakh sq.ft. constructed area. Gyan Vihar is situated on sprawling campus of 31 acres in the historic city Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan one of the most popular tourist destination of the world, Known as PINK CITY. Gyan Vihar opened it’s door almost 2 decade back. It is striving for quality leadership in education since 1994, currently running 10+2 CBSE schools, graduate and post graduate schools for technical education.
Every effort has been made at the Suresh Gyan Vihar University-SGVU to provide the best facilities for students who live on Campus. Every student has access to a wide range of activities, facilities and support.
Healthcare facilities are available round the clock at campus health centre and also in the hostels. The health centre conducts regular medical check-ups annually for students and staff. From time to time it also organizes awareness meetings on particular health related problems for the benefit of both faculty and students.
Suresh Gyan Vihar University-SGVU has its own; high quality modern hostels, with round the clock security pleasant surroundings and mess facilities. . The University campus has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with hostel warden in each hostel to supervise day to day management. The hostel is quite spacious and comfortable with well furnished, self-contained and fully maintained rooms. All the rooms have been designed to provide adequate moving space and ample air and light. All the rooms come with basic amenities like bed, table, chair, small cupboard and electrical fittings. A recreation hall with facilities for indoor games like chess, carom encourages students to make good use of their leisure time. One L.C.D TV per block is also provided.
The campus is a self-sufficient enclave with block-topped well-lit roads. Its facilities include a canteen, STD / ISD pay phones, courier service, a bookstore for all kinds of textbooks and stationery, and Postal facilities.
All major cities of the country are well connected to Jaipur by road, rail and air. Gyan Vihar Universe has its' own fleet of buses and other modes of transportation. The students can avail of these facilities for commuting to and fro from the campus.

More then 100 Lecture Halls provide the most conducive atmosphere for focused academic curricula.
