BK Majumdar Institute of Business Administration – Ahmedabad was established on 15-6-1999 by the Ahmedabad Education Society (AES). The Institute is located on 31004 Sq. Mts. of land in urban area. The Institute has applied for recognition by the UGC under 2(f). The Institute has annual system of examination. The Management also runs 24 other educational institutions in Ahmedabad.
The BK Majumdar Institute of Business Administration – Ahmedabad has volunteered to be assessed and accredited by NAAC Bangalore for only one undergraduate course in Management and submitted the study report to NAAC giving various activities of the institute under seven criteria laid down by NAAC. The college has a master plan of the college campus with its existing building and projected expansion for the future. The existing building and infrastructure is adequate to house the BBA. Programme currently. There are twelve class rooms, air conditioned conference & seminar rooms and compact open courtyard for organizing events. There is a 35 seat computer laboratory with access to internet facility of 128kbps in a radio wireless link available throughout the day.

On the first and second floor of the building, there are well maintained separate wash rooms for boy and girls. The faculty room has separate wash room for women staff members. The Institute has access to the state of art, air-conditioned 150 seated auditoriums on campus. To keep pace with the academic growth, the BK Majumdar Institute of Business Administration – Ahmedabad has always taken steps to augment its infrastructure facility. The Institute has separate provision for maintenance of infrastructure. For maintenance of the building & campus management has appointed an Estate Manager. At the same time the Institute takes care of day to day cleaning & housekeeping. For maintenance of computers, air conditions, water filters, reprographic equipment etc annual maintenance contracts are given to various venders. The BK Majumdar Institute of Business Administration – Ahmedabad library is automated with SOUL software of INFLIBNET. The library offers facilities like circulation, reference, multimedia computers with access to internet facility. During last five years the Institute has spent Rs. 378868/- on books & Rs. 126208/- on journals. As the Institute offers a programme that imparts specialized knowledge in business and management oriented subjects, most of titles in the library are business oriented.

The facilities of computer center are offered to all faculty members & students free of cost. Faculty members have desktops on their work-stations. The BK Majumdar Institute of Business Administration – Ahmedabad provides hostel facilities to all non-local students who require accommodation. The hostel facility is provided by AES and shared by all the Institutes. The Institute does not have the health center of its own; however the students and staff of the Institute have access to Gujarat University Heath Center.
