AICTE has approved the establishment of institution with the name and style Devineni Venkata Ramana and Dr Hima Sekhar MIC College of Technology – Krishna in the year 2002 with three branches of engineering (ECE, CSE and EEE) and subsequently AICTE has given permission to commence the Biotechnology branch in B.Tech in the year 2003 and Mechanical branch in B.Tech, MCA & MBA course in the year 2004. In recognition of the quality in dissemination of technical knowledge, the college has been awarded with ISO-9001:2008 certificate by TUV-South Asia.
Devineni Venkata Ramana and Dr Hima Sekhar MIC College of Technology – Krishna is located on NH 9 in a 30-acre campus with sylvan surroundings at Kanchikacherla in Krishna District, about 35 km from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The College Library System consists of a Central Library and 6 departmental libraries, which collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking library membership. The Library, besides having a huge collection of books on engineering, science and humanities, offers library services through its various divisions.
Devineni Venkata Ramana and Dr Hima Sekhar MIC College of Technology – Krishna Library uses NewGenLib software package, which is an integrated multi-tier library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library. The NewGenLib consists of modules on acquisition, technical processing, circulation, serial management, Administration, Reports, Queries and utilities. More than 12,000 bibliographic records of books available in the Library, can now be accessed through the NewGenLib OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue). The database of books available in the Library is being updated on day-to-day basis with details of recently acquired books. Records of all the Library patrons have also been created in the NewGenLib package.
Devineni Venkata Ramana and Dr Hima Sekhar MIC College of Technology – Krishna subscribes to 360 current journals/periodicals. The Library has a rich collection of books on Science and Technology including Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics. Besides, the Library also has a good collection in the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management. Besides General Collection, the Library has segregated specialized collection of Reference books, Project Reports, Bound Volumes of Journals, Standards Compact Disks, Text Books and Book Bank.
Devineni Venkata Ramana and Dr Hima Sekhar MIC College of Technology – Krishna provides separate hostel facility for boys and girls. The college has 2 Mbps dedicated leased line and has a separate internet center for students. Every department is provided with internet connection. A fleet of college buses from all routes of Vijayawada and Nandigama is provided by the college for comfortable and easy commuting. A canteen facility with all amenities serves fresh and delicious dishes to our students and staff.

The College has a spacious Indoor Sports Complex. Our students actively participate in the intercollegiate sports & cultural meets and JNTU sports meet and bring laurels to the college.

It has good recognition of providing successful engineers after completion of their degree. The shortlist of students is prepared based on their merit and the requirement of particular industry. The same list is sent to the concerned industries for their review and further shortlisted candidates are tested and interviewed in the campus.
