IET Biotechnology Institute – IBI Alwar was established in 2003-2004 and managed by All India Society for Advance Education & Research, is solely devoted to the growth and development of Biotechnology Education in Rajasthan State. The members of the society include eminent educationists, highly qualified professionals in the field of Medicine, Engineering, Science & Technology and other allied subjects. Realizing the demand for a quality technical institute in Rajasthan state, All India Society for Advance Education & Research ventured into the field of technical education in year 1998 by establishing first private engineering college of Rajasthan namely “Institute of Engineering & Technology". IET Biotechnology Institute was a next step to achieve main motto of the institution under the visionary leadership of Dr. V. K. Agarwal - Hon’ble Chairman, IET Group of Institutions & the Society.

IET Biotechnology Institute – IBI Alwar is situated at North Extn. M.I.A. Alwar (Rajasthan). The institute spread over 2.5 Acres lush green land with extensive plantation. The construction area of the IBI Building including Academic Blocks, Administrative Block, Hostels, Amenities etc are approx. 02 Lacs Sq.ft. Totally computerized & fully furnished library is functional in 3,000 Sq. ft. area with seating capacity of 150+ Students. One of the richest Libraries in the state is having aprox. 3,500 Books of Foreign & Indian writers, National & International Journals, Educational & General CD’s. IET Biotechnology Institute – IBI Alwar has DELNET Library facility connecting to the leading libraries in India. Further the institute library has 19 Journals and approx. 250 Educational CDs on various topics are available in the library for self learning. The library is controlled by dynamic and professionally qualified and trained Sh. Sri Krishan M.Lib. and Sh. Lalit Kumar, M.Lib.
The Hostels in IET Biotechnology Institute – IBI Alwar campus are designed to provide an ideal environment conducive for academic pursuit. IET Group has fully furnished in campus, well ventilated separate Boys & Girls Hostels. Hostels are the unique place for indirect all round development as Hostlers of various regions, religions, cast, & creed get enough opportunity for mixing and mingling among themselves. IET Biotechnology Institute – IBI Alwar hostels consists 06 Boys & 02 Girls Hostels with 1200 & 600 Students Capacity respectively. All the hostels are controlled by various level of matured ladies and gents wardens and mentors. Apart from academics that takes almost 5-6 most creative and energetic hours daily for completion of routine conventional course curriculam they are left with very little options for their Project and R&D work during the college hours. To fill up the gaps the Internet facility is also provided in each hostel that is used by students for their developmental work. All Hostels have R. O. Mineral Drinking Water Plant attached with Water Cooler to provide pure and healthy water to students.
Health and Hygiene for students are the priority concerns. IET Biotechnology Institute – IBI Alwar Management taken it as the most important aspect being the first available local guardian for all inhouse students, separate fully automated mess for boys and girls with trained cooking staff and modern stainless steel kitchen equipments with comfortable furniture has been provided in each hostel for hygienic vegetarian food. IET Biotechnology Institute – IBI Alwar Auditorium is centrally Air-Cooled and is fully equipped with Audio-Video facilities. It has a capacity of 1000 students and is being extensively used for Seminars, Symposia, Invited Lectures, Cultural Programs, Campus Placements and other Academic Activities. Well furnished Air Conditioned Guest House with all modern amenities like : Television, Dish TV, Phone (Intercom), Computer with Internet Facilities.
IET Biotechnology Institute – IBI Alwar has 45 Lecture Halls with capacity of 60-100 students. Well-lit and have fine acoustics. Each lecture hall is Theater like having modern furniture, Audio Visual aids like LCD Projector & OHP. IET Biotechnology Institute is running an innovative, educative and demonstrable model for transforming youth energy towards bio-friendly creative ends under the name of biotech park & title of “Genome Park”. Genome Park is a herbal garden having more than 250 species of medicinal plants on which Research work is going on to exploit their medicinal properties in collaboration with various industries.
Women’s Grievance Cell is available in the Academic Block for any grievances related to girl students and female staff. A fully furnished with TV & Music modern Canteen & Cafeteria having 6000 sq.ft. area is Operating inside the College Campus. It caters the needs of students, staff and visitors by providing Tea, Coffee, Soft Drinks, Snacks etc. IET Biotechnology Institute – IBI Alwar has well managed Shopping Complex having shops of Books, Stationary, Photocopier, STD/PCO, Fruit Juice etc. to cater the day to day needs of the students and staff. An Extension Counter of Punjab National Bank is functioning in campus to facilitate the students and staff for personal banking. The bank also provide 24 hours ATM facility in the campus.

Kaushik, a Management Guru with an Industrial experience of almost 3 decades.
