Maharana Pratap College for Women - MPCW Kanpur was established in the year 2009 by MPGI to impart quality education in the field of engineering & technology. Maharana Pratap College for Women - MPCW Kanpur is situated in the heart of city at Kalyanpur. We have a total of 15 acres of lush green campus on the main Kalyanpur - Bithoor road. Maharana Pratap College for Women - MPCW Kanpur has an excellent infrastructure comprising of 5 storied academic building with modern infrastructure. The well established labs & workshops with modern equipments are one of the best of its kinds.
Library is an integral part of any college imparting its services to all the students, faculty members and other staff members. All the collections of book bank, reference books, stack books, journals, etc are stored in digital format in addition to student and staff database. Maharana Pratap College for Women - MPCW Kanpur has well equipped, spacious, clean laboratories fulfilling the UPTU norms. There are experienced lab instructors along with the faculty members to train the students. In the first year, there are mainly 6 labs and a workshop. Around 10 more new labs are in the process of development for the next semester. The Computer Science & Engineering Department is a self-driven proactive nerve center, which caters to the ever-growing technology in the sphere of academics, research and training. There are around 100 branded state-of-the-art PIV personal computers equipped with latest application software. All the computers are on Local Area Network connected through a server. Students can also avail Internet facility during the allotted time.

Maharana Pratap College for Women - MPCW Kanpur has a well equipped Physics Lab having apparatus like Standard Spectometers, Travelling Microscope, CRO, Plane Transmission grating, etc in addition to general Physics experiments. There is a dark room in the lab where students perform dark room experiments like Newtton’s Ring, Nodal slide, Fresnel Biprism, Shade polarimeter and Diffraction Grating, etc. Maharana Pratap College for Women - MPCW Kanpur has well furnished Chemistry laboratory to conduct the prescribed experiments. The lab is equipped with modern and advanced apparatus and instruments like spectrophotometer, pH-meter, Electronic balances, Polarimeter, Water distillation plant, Gas supply line for burners and Electric Oven, etc and many types of glass apparatus for various inorganic and organic analysis. The lab is properly ventilated and has continuous electric and water supply. For safety, it is provided with fire extinguishers and first aid facility is also available. The IT revolution and globalization of business have brought professional communication to the forefront of academia and industry. In order to develop effective communication skills, Maharana Pratap College for Women - MPCW Kanpur has established a professional communication lab that enables the students to develop proficiency, both in written and spoken language. Students not only learn how to communicate well but also how to communicate effectively.
