Mehsana Urban Institute of Biosciences offers M. Sc. Programme approved by Ganpat University, which is ultimately approved by Education department of state of Gujarat and University Grants Commission. The admission to this institute is done purely based on Entrance test. The Institute is running three post graduate programmes viz. M. Sc. in Biotechnology, M. Sc. in Microbiology and M.Sc. in Bioinformatics and in take capacity for this programmes are 35 seats for each.

Shri Ganpatbhai Ishwarbhai Patel, an eminent NRI industrialist, with his strong desire to establish an education center to promote hi-tech education in Gujarat, made a generous donation of Rs.11.5 crores. In honor of this magnanimous gesture, the campus is named after his name.
