PNCKR Degree College – Guntur names after Sri Paladugu Nagaiah Chowdary, a Philanthropist and Sri Kotha Raghuramaiah, an astute Parlamentarian was started at Narasaraopet in 1991 under the able patronage of Doctor coupleDr.Medarametla Sivalinga prasada Rao and Dr.M.Annapurna. PNCKR Degree College – Guntur is promoted by the Sri Venkateswara Paladugu Nagaiah Chowdary and Kotha Raghuramaiah Educational Society (Regd.) and with in a short span of decade have reached a level of educational standards comparable to any of the similar colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
PNCKR Degree College – Guntur is located at Palnadu Road, Narasaraopet, Guntur Dist, Andhra Pradesh. The college has a modern well planned campus located about 2 K.M. from the Narasraopet Railway Station. The campus is spread over about 7 acres with imposing buildings in lush green, polution free environment away from the hustle and bustle of town life. The college buildings were inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr.N.T.Rama Rao on 29-05-1995.
Since the inception, PNCKR Degree College – Guntur is imparting the need based education to the students of backward region of Palnadu and neighbouring areas. The Secretary & Correspondent has nurtured the college with great care, determination and vision. With his dynamic stewardship the college management committee has become a wholesome entity espousing both academic excellence and administrative efficiency. The college has pioneered the introducation of may new Science and Hi-tech courses besides traditional B.A. and B.Com. courses which were not available in many other degree colleges, under the juridiction of Acharya Nagarjuna University. It serves students, members of faculty and being opened from 8:00AM to 8:00PM. PNCKR Degree College – Guntur Library is one of modern equipped Libraries in Acharya Nagarjuna University area. The Library is having all the required furniture, Photo Phone, Internet Facility for maintaining the College Library administation in congenial atmosphere. The college Library has reached a Memorondum Of Understanding with DELNET, New Delhi for making reference service, downloading the required contents and materials of various subjects from books and research journals. The Library is converted into fullfledged computerised Library. The Library is having unlimited Internet facility. The Library is being made an efforts for making some parts of books and articles as Digital Library.
PNCKR Degree College – Guntur has a well furnished auditorium with a plinth area of 4835 sqft with fixed public address system described as an architectural masterpiece. It can Accommodate nearly 650 students. It is the first of its kind in Narasaraopet town, build with plaster of Paris technology. It is useful for organizing National level conferences, Seminars, and Workshops by various Departments of the College in particular and other Academic institutions in general.
PNCKR Degree College – Guntur has fully equipped laboratories separately for Physics, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Statistics, Electronics and Computer Maintenance, apart from the Computer Labs. The computer labs were inaugurated by Padma Vibhushan Prof.K.Satchidananda Murthy, Former Vice Chairman of the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, on 18th March, 1994. The P.N.C & K.R. College computer laboratory is one of the best Computer Science Laboratories in the Guntur District with over 200 state of the art of the computer systems. All the systems are interconnected through Local Area Network under Windows – NT,LINUX, Novel Netware environment. Internet facility is provided to all the systems. Lab facility is being provided to the students round the clock.
PNCKR Degree College – Guntur Physical Edcation Department has provided the vigorous training to the college sports persons. In the methods and practices of worming up of physical exercise, GYM exercise, practicing games and good dieting. To support of this methods the college management has provided good sports & games equippment like 12 Station Gym, 6 Station Gym, Weightlifting Set, Thread Mill, Cycle, Dumb Bells, Chess Boards, Carums and Table Tennis Boards, etc. Hostel facility is provided to the girl students by the management to pursue their studies properly.
