The University School of Computer Science and Information Technology – SCSIT Indore was established in 1986. The Institute since then has endeavored into promoting technical education and research in the important and fast growing branches of Information Technology. It is an autonomous department under Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya with its goal set to produce computer science specialists to meet the global challenges.
Mission of University School of Computer Science and Information Technology – SCSIT Indore is to produce world-class professionals who have excellent analytical skills, communication skills, team building spirit and ability to work in cross cultural environment, to produce international quality IT professionals, who can independently design, develop and implement computer applications.
The School of Computer Science and Information Technology – SCSIT Indore provides all necessary facilities to students which include separate hostels for boys andgirls, library, reading room, computer labs, communication labs, and workshops for engineering subjects etc. The activities of School of Computer Science and Information Technology – SCSIT Indore development council have helped the college to achieve a benchmark in quality of education. The university also promotes extracurricular activities as the university has its own sports club and gymnasium.
Library at School of Computer Science and Information Technology – SCSIT Indore is a world class portal of approx 20,000 books available under 1 roof. Several books on mulitple topics such as Databases, Advance Networks, Mobile Computing, Embedded Systems, Advanced Electronics, ERP, SAP, Bioinformatics, Application of Computers are availed for students. Library is well equipped with computerized issue system to keep record of books. Also students are facilitated by silent study zone inside library for referenced study work and research using available resources.
The placement cell in the School of Computer Science and Information Technology – SCSIT Indore is responsible for coordinating the placement activities for students. The placement cell is headed by a placement coordinator and co-ordinated with committee members representing students. Almost all the placement activities are organized and co-ordinated by the students as par the guidance by faculty and suitable steps for overall skills improvement are taken.
