Sheth H J Law college – Bhavnagar is one of the oldest college of Gujarat. Sheth H J Law college – Bhavnagar was established in 1962. It is Approved by Bar Counsil of India. This is only one college in Gujarat that provide Ph. D. in law. Total 04 students have completed their thesis from the Sheth H J Law college – Bhavnagar and 7 students are pursuing for Ph.D. degree.
Sheth H J Law college – Bhavnagar provides LLB (General) and LLB (Special). LLB (General) is a 2 year degree course comprising First LLB -2 Semesters and Second LLB – 2 Semesters. It consists total 4 semesters which lead student towards a degree of LLB general. LLB (Special) is a 3 year degree course comprising additional 2 semester of Third LLB which led towards the degree of LLB Special entitles student to enroll as an advocate. The LLB syllabus has been updated in consultation with the requirements and recommendations of both the Bar Council of India in 1997 and UGC model curriculum Law – 2001.
