OMT is a unique training program designed for the students of Silver Bright Institute of Management – SBIM Pune wherein the focus shifts from the classroom to Mother Nature, who is a master teacher herself. Through OMT, a series of adventure and outdoor experiences like trekking, rappelling, rock-climbing, canoeing, star gazing, living-off the land, etc aims to build one’s leadership skills, teamwork abilities, decision making skills, crisis management skills and thus lead to the holistic development of the student. Today OMT is widely recognized by the corporate sector as an effective training technique for developing the personality of their executives.
At Silver Bright Institute of Management – SBIM Pune, we believe it is the responsibility of each and every student to be sensitive towards the environment and socio-economic problems facing the nation. Business and society can co-exist peacefully only if we all believe in the doctrine of sustainable development. Silver Bright Institute of Management – SBIM Pune students are encouraged to actively organize and participate in tree plantation drives, anti plastic bag drive, vehicular pollution control and awareness programs, medical support for the needy, etc. These activities form an integral part of the social responsibility initiatives at SBIM.
The students of Silver Bright Institute of Management – SBIM Pune are required to maintain a minimum of 90% attendance per semester. Any student failing to meet the above standard is liable to get his/her term cancelled and in addition will not be allowed to participate in the Campus Recruitment Program. Silver Bright Institute of Management – SBIM Pune students are expected to wear formal dress (shirt & trouser for gents; sari / salwar kameez for ladies) throughout the week, except on Saturdays which will be observed as ‘casual-day’. On the occasion of guest lectures, seminars, etc. students are expected to be dressed in the SBIM uniform (blazers, tie, and shirt, trouser for gents / sari for ladies).
Silver Bright Institute of Management – SBIM Pune has tied up with various hostels in the neighborhood and their rules have to be adhered to strictly by the students. Students opting to stay in the hostel will have to sign an undertaking in accepting the rules lay down by the management. Ragging of any type will not be accepted and the concerned students’ admissions would be cancelled immediately. All the student activities are conducted entirely through total student involvement and participation.
