Syed Ammal Engineering College – SAEC Ramanathapuram a Self-Financing Institution, is one among the several educational institutions founded by Late. Dr.E.M.Abdullah. Syed Ammal Engineering College – SAEC Ramanathapuram was established in 1998. Approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. College offers four undergraduate programmes in engineering. Besides promoting disseminating knowledge, it fosters cooperation between the academic and industrial communities.

Syed Ammal Engineering College – SAEC Ramanathapuram is located in Dr.E.M.Abdullah Campus, Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu.Infrastructure of College buildings towering the reputation of the college have a plinth area of about 15718 Sq.m. with a high flavor of architectural excellence. It is remarkable to note that our management has invested about Rs. 90 Lakhs for student’s amenities center. Syed Ammal Trust of Syed Ammal Engineering College – SAEC Ramanathapuram has invested more than Rs.17crores for providing excellent infrastructure facilities to our students. A mineral water plant with a capacity of 7,000 Liters Per day has been installed in the Campus. We have provided excellent infrastructure facilities in all the Departments through the college were started in 1998.
Men’s Hostel facility of Syed Ammal Engineering College – SAEC Ramanathapuram was built in the campus in the year 2002. It has got 80 rooms and can accommodate 320 students in all. There is a separate block for dining, kitchen and store room. In the same block, one part of the first floor is used by the students of Islam for prayer and the next hall houses the indoor Gym. The adjacent halls there in the same floor are used for table tennis and to play other indoor games.
Syed Ammal Engineering College – SAEC Ramanathapuram hostel has facilities like modernized kitchen, nutritious and hygienic food served on the basis of dividing system which comes approximately to Rs. 900/- per month. There is an STD booth for the students to make calls and in addition to that there is a one rupee coin box. There are 4 more phones to receive the inbound calls. There is a stationery shop from where things needed for the students can be purchased.
Ladies hostel facility of Syed Ammal Engineering College – SAEC Ramanathapuram is located inside the College campus and safely maintained. There are three floors including ground floor, it contains more than 16 rooms. The students accommodated in hostel were 110.The students are separated according to their years so that they can have a good relationship among themselves. Ragging is strictly prohibited inside the hostel. The Study hours for the students will be from 6:30PM to 8:30PM. They should not do any practical writing during those hours. There will be warden rounds to check whether the students are studying or not. This was strictly followed in case there will be any illness for the students they are allowed to take rest.
The facilities of Syed Ammal Engineering College – SAEC Ramanathapuram provided in the hostel are one STD connection, Two phones for incoming calls, Two intercoms, one for first floor and other for second floor and one coin box phone. A caller ID was placed to identify the incoming numbers. To maintain all these facility a staff was appointed. Because of this facility students are not allowed to use mobiles inside the hostel. They were also not allowed to have any electronic devices like Walkman and tape recorders.
