Surya Polytechnic College – Kanyakumari has been established by R.V. Educational Trust. It was the trust mainly focusing on high quality education, contribution of excellent teaching, character building to inculcate high moral ethical and personality development among the youth, in uplifting their professional identity and creating technical excellence with the spark of man making education. This institution was founded on 18-09-2006 at Udaya nagar, ammandivilai post.
Surya Polytechnic College – Kanyakumari over the area of 160 acres, with recognition of govt. of Tamil Nadu. A principal who is a man of efficiency and excellence, a team of faculty members imbibes respectability to it. Surya Polytechnic College – Kanyakumari have well designed 3-storied building with a plinth area of 3000 sq.m, well equipped physics, chemistry, English communication, electronics, electrical, computer laboratories, workshop, drawing halls, library with spacious reading hall, neat and congenial campus, homely atmosphere are some of the artistic and good attributes of our college.

Central Library of Surya Polytechnic College – Kanyakumari has a central library with spacious halls and exclusive reference section with quite number of volumes on all subjects whose total exceeds 27285 volumes. There are 79 National journals and 59 International Journals subscribed in our college Library. The library remains open from 9 AM to 8.PM. Our Library is completely computerized and measures are being taken to promote our Library to Digital Library.

Hostel facility of Surya Polytechnic College – Kanyakumari is endorsed with a salubrious hostel both separately for men and women. The hostels are more spacious and have the capacity to accommodate 450 students in each hostel. The eye catching point in our hostel is that an environment is created that may menace the students a homely feeling with hygienic food and mother care. The hostel is located in the sylvan mountainous surrounding region that gives nourishment to the college hostel.
