Swami Ramananda Tirtha Institute of Science and Technology - SRTIST Nalgonda was established in the year 1996 and is functioning in its own building with a campus area of 30 acres and a built up area of 8500 sq.m. To impart skills to students for rewarding career, the institute's consistent commitment being academic excellence and prepare the students for success and leadership roles in their chosen fields of specializations. The institute endeavors to provide optimum balance between acadmic rigor,needs of the profession and the expectations of the public.
Presently Swami Ramananda Tirtha Institute of Science and Technology - SRTIST Nalgonda is running 8 UG courses ( Civil - 60, EEE - 90, Mech -60 , ECE - 120, CSE-120, Chem -60 , EIE -60 and IT-60 ) with a total intake of 630 seats and 2 P.G courses like MBA and MCA with an annual intake of 60 students in each course. Apart from this the Insititution is also running 4 PG Programmes in engineering like M.Tech( CSE,ES,VLSI-SD and CAD/CAM ) with an annual intake of 18 seats in each.
Swami Ramananda Tirtha Institute of Science and Technology - SRTIST Nalgonda is situated at Ramananda Nagar, Post S.L.B.C , Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh. The college has well established Library with books of various disciplines and is being continuously expanded by procuring latest books every year. It has well ventilated vast reading section. This library has 3602 titles and over 24868 volumes. It is also equipped with important journals and essential study materials. It has subscription for 46 National and 28 International Journals.In addition to these it has 300 e-journals. To fulfill the commitment of providing every student and teacher with an access to the latest and advanced Information on scientific & Technological breakthroughs, the Digital Library facility is provided. Through Digital Library one can have quick and ready access to various national and international Science Journals and other Resources and browse through all the information at the Rate of 4 Mbps. More than 28 international journals are available in the Digital Library. Recently the College has started a Video Library and conference hall adjacent to the Central Library providing 5 Systems with Internet Facilities for research activities.
Swami Ramananda Tirtha Institute of Science and Technology - SRTIST Nalgonda provides the hostel facility for the out station boys and girls in the town. Girls hostel is maintained by the college itself and the boys are accommodated in private hostels with homely atmosphere. Separate Hostels for boys and girls have been provided with spacious and well furnished Rooms. The college is providing 21 buses for the convenience of the students .Separate buses are being Provided for girls and staff. Apart from it there are number of buses run by APSRTC from Nalgonda.
The activities of games and sports are conducted on a regular basis. Inter departmental competitions are held on different occasions. Many of our students have represented the college and University in many events, at various levels, cultural and literary activities are also encouraged in Swami Ramananda Tirtha Institute of Science and Technology - SRTIST Nalgonda. NSS Activities have been being going on in the Institute for a long time now with a view to include a sense of social responsibility and service in the students. Recent activities of NSS include a blood donation camp on the campus, an awareness program on HIV/AIDS and raising of Tsunami relief fund. The Institute has started its own Red Cross Center with the coordination of local Indian Red Cross Society.
Training & Placement Cell is involved in securing placements for students passing out from Swami Ramananda Tirtha Institute of Science and Technology - SRTIST Nalgonda. The Placement Cell keeps close interaction with various industries(Private & Public ) and Research & Development organizations, which conduct campus interviews and select the students.
