Anirudh Ravichander is an Indian film composer, music director and singer. He was born on 16 October 1990 in Chennai, India. Anirudh is the son of actor Ravi Raghavendra and nephew of Latha Rajinikanth (wife of actor Rajinikanth). He received his schooling from the Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan (PSBB) and graduated from Loyola College, Chennai in 2011. He has learnt classical piano from Trinity College of Music, London and has also learnt Carnatic music (a system of music commonly associated with the southern part of the Indian subcontinent). Anirudh started composing music at the age of 10 and made his debut in the Tamil romantic psychological thriller film, 3 in 2012 at the age of 21. Some of the other films that Anirudh has been involved with include Ethir Neechal, Velaiyilla Pattathari, Vanakkam Chennai and Maan Karate. Anirudh has won awards like Best Music Director at the Edison Awards, Best Find of the Year at the Vijay Awards (2013), Best Song at the Vijay Awards (2014) etc.
