Siraj ul haq was elected as the Ameer (chief) of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan on 30th March 2014. He was born on 5th September 1962 in Charsadda District. He has a master's degree in Political Science from the Peshawar University. Mr. Siraj ul haq was first elected to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in 2002 and was appointed as the finance minister in the provincial cabinet.
