Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is a veteran Pakistani politician and industrialist. He was born on 25 December 1949 in Lahore, Pakistan. Nawaz Sharif assumed office as the 18th Prime Minister of Pakistan in June 2013. He has also previously served as the PM of Pakistan on two occasions, November 1990 to July 1993 and February 1997 to October 1999. Nawaz Sharif is also the president of Pakistan Muslim League (N), one of the largest political parties of Pakistan. He is also the owner of Ittefaq Group, a leading steel business conglomerate. He is an alumnus of Government College University, Lahore and Punjab University Law College. Mr. Shahbaz Sharif, another veteran Pakistani politician is the brother of Mian Nawaz Sharif.
