Sethu Institute of Technology – SIT Virudhunagar was started with 180 students in the year 1995 with three UG Programme has recorded a stupendous growth of expanding to the strength of 3100 students with 8 UG courses and 6 Post Graduate programmes.College offers different kind of bachelor and master courses leading to different streams.

Hostel facility of Sethu Institute of Technology – SIT Virudhunagar have separate hostel for boys and girls. The hostel can accommodate 300 boys and 250 girls. Yoga Class and Gym facilities for both boys and girls inside the hostel. Mineral Water facility of Sethu Institute of Technology – SIT Virudhunagar is set up to provide healthy and clean drinking water to staff and students. This water is provided to the classrooms, laboratory, hostel and mess.Mess facility of College is spacious with a dining hall and kitchen. Separate seating arrangements are made for both Vegetarians and Non-Vegetarians.
