Srinivas Trust of Vickram College of Engineering – VICKRAMCE Ramanathapuram was founded with a singular aim to serve the society in the field of Education. The Trust is a non-profit organization, which runs quite successfully four institutions namely, Vickram College of Engineering, Vickram Polytechnic College, Vickram School of Teacher Training and Vickram College of Teacher Education. College offers different kind of bachelor and master courses leading to different streams.
Vickram College of Engineering – VICKRAMCE Ramanathapuram is located in Enathi, Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu. The college is located on Madurai Sivagangai Road, about 19 kms from Madurai city limit and 22 kms from Sivagangai city. The college was started in the year 2001, at present; there are about 1450 students from across the length and breadth of the country pursuing engineering under these departments.
Campus of Vickram College of Engineering – VICKRAMCE Ramanathapuram spreads over a spacious area of 40 acres, on Madurai Sivagangai highway. The college is built as per international standards. The Educational area measures to 2, 50,000 sq-ft. The college is just 20 minutes drive from Madurai, the temple city of India. We have planted about 1200 trees so far to add to the beauty of the campus.
Library of Vickram College of Engineering – VICKRAMCE Ramanathapuram has a fully computerized, well-stocked and well-maintained library to complement the learning process. Besides the classroom lecture, the college gives equal importance to reference studies on the topics covered. The computerized library houses about 20,000 volumes of 12000 titles. The library is equipped with 12 computers for academic and browsing purposes. The college has planned to provide air-conditioning for the Library.
Labs and Workshops of Vickram College of Engineering – VICKRAMCE Ramanathapuram all the class rooms and laboratories are emphatically spacious and well furnished. The laboratories are outfitted with advanced equipments. The computer center is primed with over 400 state-of-the-art computer systems. The College gives full thrust towards practice and hence its labs, workshops and libraries are equipped with modern infrastructure. Hostel facility of Vickram College of Engineering – VICKRAMCE Ramanathapuram offers residential facilities to the students managed by experienced wardens who ensure that the inmates feel at home. Separate well-furnished, safe & secure Men's and Women's Hostel is situated within the campus. There is a mess unit for each hostel. Students staying in the hostel have to necessarily take their food in the Hostel Mess. The messes attached to the hostels are managed with student's participation. For the recreation of the inmates, each Hostel has Recreation room with television, library, Gymnasium and browsing facilities. Separate telephone connections are available for the respective hostels. The students can also avail themselves the facilities provided by the Physical Education and Sports department. Dining Services of Vickram College of Engineering – VICKRAMCE Ramanathapuram also runs a full-fledged canteen for the benefit of the students and faculties alike. It offers quality food, snacks and beverages like tea/ coffee and soft drinks as refreshment.
Sports facility of Vickram College of Engineering – VICKRAMCE Ramanathapuram has separate playgrounds for cricket, football and volleyball. It has cricket nets for providing better practice. The ground has a separate area marked for other track and field games. Apart from the above indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess and Carrom are played by the students. The college is planning to set up Tennis, Squash and Badminton courts.
Transport facility of Vickram College of Engineering – VICKRAMCE Ramanathapuram offers fully residential courses. However, for the benefit of the day scholars and staffs, transport facilities are provided. Currently about 23 buses ply from different nodal points covering Madurai and Sivagangai cities. The buses are well maintained and furnished for the comfort of the students.
