Echelon Institute of Technology – EIT Faridabad has been established as a new self- financing Institution from the academic session 2007-08.College is promoted by the Echelon Educational and Welfare Society. The Society is managed by a committee of office bearers and executive members. Echelon is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD. Govt. of India; Director of Technical Education, Govt. of Haryana. Echelon Institute of Technology – EIT Faridabad has a Sprawling campus spread over 17.5 acres, just 20 Km from Delhi-Badarpur Border. Echelon Institute of Technology – EIT Faridabad is situated at Kabulpur, Jasana-Manjawali Road, 12 k.m. from badkal chowk,Faridabad. HarayanaPower backup facility for the entire campus is available round the clock. Classrooms at college are in the pattern of lecture theaters equipped with Audio-Video facilities, besides being well lit and Air conditioned for the most appropriate teaching learning environment. Though the prescribed area by AICTE is 66 sq. mtrs. our lecture theaters are of 100 sq. mtrs. Area.
Library is the heart, mind and soul of an educational institution and a fountain-head of innovativeness, inspiration and insight both for the students and the faculty. Learning and library are to each other as the light to the lamp. Echelon Institute of Technology – EIT Faridabad Library is located in the separate area in the college building with air conditioned facility. It has been systematically and steadily strengthened. The library operation and services are fully computerized with "Redox EIMS System" multi user Integrated Library Automation Software developed by Redox Technologies, New-Delhi and a Bar-Code based circulation system is in use.
Echelon Institute of Technology – EIT Faridabad library is equipped with more than 15000 books from different streams. Besides these text and reference books the Library is also subscribing to a large number of national and international journals, magazines and Encyclopedia. Bibliography records of Library holdings can be accessed through the Redox on Line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC).The Library also maintains a good collection of useful educational CDs/DVDs on Engineering & Technology. Echelon Institute of Technology – EIT Faridabad Library is an institutional member of Developing Library Network (DELNET) & NISCAIR, New Delhi. Besides providing on line access to various DELNET databases, DELNET is also providing a very good DELNET Loan and Document Delivery Services to our faculty & students.
Echelon Institute of Technology – EIT Faridabad Laboratories are well equipped with the latest equipments and software. Departments of Physics, Chemistry and Electrical Engineering have their concerned labs with multiple sets of instruments to cover not only the university syllabus but also to provide overall practical knowledge of theory subjects to improve their basic science foundation. The Computer engineering and Information Technology departments possess several labs such as Multimedia Lab, Programming Lab, Operating System Lab, Advance Java Lab, Hardware lab and Departmental Project lab etc and are equipped with latest software while the ECE department comprises Communication Lab, Analog Lab, Digital Lab, PCB Design Lab, DSP lab, Control System Lab, Instrumentation lab, EMEC lab, Network lab and Electronic workshop.
All computers are in LAN (Local Area Network) and are served by a powerful IBM server. Echelon Institute of Technology – EIT Faridabad has availed MSDN from Microsoft: under which almost all Microsoft products will be available to Echelon students. Students have the choice of Windows (XP, Vista, Windows 7 etc.) or Open Source Operating System – Linux at Echelon. Computer Centre facilitates the students to become independent learners and self- starters. Hostel life helps a student cultivate self-dependence, independent thinking cooperative spirit and managerial capabilities. The Hostel Mess provides nutritious and hygienically prepared meal and clean drinking water through RO System. Recreation rooms with T.V, news papers , magazines and indoor games/ sports are an integral part of Echelon Institute of Technology – EIT Faridabad residential system. The hostel working committee comprising the Director, the Chief Warden, the Wardens and the Resident representatives (both male and female) deliberate upon and address the issues related to hostels at regular intervals. Besides this, the Hostels have 24 hours power back up and security arrangements. Fully trained guards at the main entrance keep round the clock vigil around the campus. The boarders have also been extended the extra facility of using internet and working in the Library beyond regular working hours of the Institute.
