Sirsa College of Science and Technology - SCOST Bareilly was established under aegis of Shri Phool Singh Jaunthan Shiksha Samittee (established in 2005), in the memory of Thakur Phool Singh , the renowned thinker of modern India . Scost was born with a vision to give a new direction to management, science and technical study in India and wishes to develop students with nationalistic approach so that not only one may become a good Indian citizen , but also self dependent and a professional of highest degree. The library functions on an open access system for the faculty members and the research scholars. But the students have only a limited access. The library remains open from morning till night on all working days.
The computerization of the library is nearing completion and shortly all standard services like acquisition, searching and lending will be computerized. The library has developed an extensive CD-Database of back volumes and abstracts of leading journals in science, engineering and technology. In order to keep our young talents full of life and vigour, we encourage and organize lots of sports activity in the college. The list includes cricket, football, table tennis, billiards, chess, badminton, softball and many more. The institute organizes sports events every year for the students.
