Foundation stone of Shri P V Patel Mahila Arts and Commerce College was laid in 1974 by the Health Minister and Cooperative leader Late Shri Vallabhbhai Patel. A few years later it was clubbed with Saurashtra Educational trust, Rajkot and the reign of management was handed over to the eminent and devoted educationist Shri Valjibhai Patel Hence forth the institution came to be known as Smt.K.S.N. Kansagara Mahila Arts & Commerce college. The college offers different kind of undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses.
Smt KSN Kansagara Mahila College - Rajkot is situated at Opp. Noble House, Kalawad Road,Rajkot. Some 30 years back the college was established with some up- right motives like imparting higher education to women in Gujarat, to bring about a new awareness and light in their secluded lives, to make them self dependent and self sufficient, to introduce and benefit the society and the nation with feminine hidden potentials, ingeneral to make women's lives progressive and colorful. By its steady and rapid progress in all branches of education and learning, the institution today has acquired multiple peaks of achievements and a distinct splendor. Being a women’s college has enabled us to pursue our mission in molding our students to meet with the demands of the family and society, building their confidence, and realizing the role of a woman as an important component in our country’s development.

College has well furnish librery. It has reference books of Gujrati,Hindi,English and all type of megazines and wespaper and General knowledge books,debet books and P.H.D books.
Smt KSN Kansagara Mahila College - Rajkot has well furnished canteen from that students and staff can get well qualified snacks and coldrinks. There are two lab with 50 computers,printer,scanner and also with internet ficility. College has its own hostel building,100 of girls can get high education who are comming from villege. At least 500 girls are included in the hostel. Many activities,events are held in this open air theatre.Situated at college campus. The College has two units of NSS.
