Sri Venkateswara Degree College – SVDC Kadapa was started in 1981 with U.G. courses and upgraded by adding P.G. courses since 1997. Today, the college offers 15 subject combinations with a student strength of 2000 at U.G. level and 8 courses at P.G. level with a student strength of 750. The college is approved under section 2(f) and 12(B) of the University Grants Commission Act to enable it to receive grants for various development purposes. Sri Venkateswara Degree College – SVDC Kadapa is credited with numerous academic distinctions both in U.G. and P.G. courses, and emerged as one of the best among the affiliated colleges in Rayalaseema Region.
