Sri Ramakrishna Educational Society was founded in 1984 under the able chairmanship of a visionary and Educationist Dr. G.Ramakrishna Reddy. The Society Started Sri Ramakrishana Degree College in the same year at Nandyal, Commercial Headquarters of Kurnool District. The College is known for its Academic Excellence. The Degree College has become Autonomous College from the Academic Year 2005-06. It offers UG Courses with all combinations including BBM Course. After a decade of rich experience at UG Level the Society Started Sri Ramakrishna PG College – Kurnool in 1994. The college offers M.B.A-120; M.B.A (Finance)-60; M.C.A-60; These courses are approved by A.I.C.T.E , New Delhi.
Sri Ramakrishna PG College – Kurnool also offers Fulltime P.G Courses affiliated to the same university. They are M com(Prof), M.A(English),M.Sc (Maths), Applied Mathematics , Electronics, Physics, Computer science And Botany. Library is knowledge bank of any institute. Sri Ramakrishna PG College – Kurnool library has a collection of 18,300 books. It subscribes 123 magazines & journals. Out of 123, for 66 magazines including international magazines and the rest are the journals. Our institution has membership with British library, Hyderabad. The institutional membership enables the institution to borrow books from British Library. We have a linkage with Developing Library Networks (DELNET). Our institution has access to online downloading facility of books. The student and staff have an advantage of downloading the articles from E-Journals.
The hostel for girls was started by Sri Ramakrishna Education Society in 1998. This was to cater to the needs of the outstation students for a safe and securely surroundings residence. Sri Ramakrishna PG College – Kurnool hostel is fully equipped to accommodate 200 students. There are 72 rooms. The outstanding feature is that each of these 72 rooms is with attached toilets. Recreational facilities and computer laboratory with internet are also available in hostel premises. Mess purely organized and managed by the students with the support of Faculty Coordinator.
Sri Ramakrishna PG College – Kurnool has an Audio Visual section with 600 Audio Visual cassettes presented by AIMA, UGC. Consultancies & IIT, Delhi. This section is also having a large number of C.Ds and Floppies related to management topics, which help in teaching students in a better way.
