Objectives of Wingsss College of Aviation Technology – WCAT Pune is to impart training in the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering for obtaining Basic license in Categories: Heavy Aeroplanes (HA) , Jet Engine (JE), Electrical System (ES), Instrument System (IS), Radio Navigation System (RN). To develop competent Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to meet ever increasing demand of MRO's, Civil and Private Airlines. To develop a strong technology base coupled with individual's personality traits and character as a contribution towards human resource of the nation.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineers play a Major role among the Maintenance personnel to keep the Aircraft ‘Airworthy’ at all times. No civil Aircraft engaged in flying for hire and reward can be operated without the being certified as Airworthy by the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s holding AME licenses in the respective categories. The maintenance of modern sophisticated aircraft’s calls for high degree of technical knowledge, competence, proficiency & integrity on the part of the concerned personnel. Tremendous responsibility lies upon the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s who are certifying the modern sophisticated Aircraft’s, manned by experienced crew trained at high cost and great care carrying the precious load of ever increasing number of passengers. Library of Wingsss College of Aviation Technology – WCAT Pune is fully equipped with numerous Course Text Books, Reference Books, Notes, Solved/Unsolved papers, Technical News/ Bulletins, Magazines, Personality Development Books, General Knowledge, Competitive Examination Books etc. Each student is provided with a library card for issue of books for duration of three days per issue. Our Institute has obtained membership with Library of Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (Formerly Institute of Advanced Technology) and The British Library for the benefit of staff & students.
Hostel facilities of Wingsss College of Aviation Technology – WCAT Pune catering to the needs of outstation students Institute has offered Hostel accommodation with equally efficient mess facility in some of the hostels. Separate hostels are provided for Boys and Girls. Minor variations may be there from hostel to hostel. Medical facilities at the Institute recommended hospitals are available at concessional rates.
Computer Labs of Wingsss College of Aviation Technology – WCAT Pune have designed our Computer Lab for Advanced Computing. It is fully equipped with 30 latest configuration PCs, Printers, Scanner, Multimedia devices. We have used high-speed devices for Networking. Turbo C/C++ both windows & DOS versions, Visual Studio 6.0, AUTO-CAD R-2000 are installed for 'C' Programming, Visual Basic, Engineering Drawing respectively and lots more as per requirement of courses.
Electrical Labs of Wingsss College of Aviation Technology – WCAT Pune have DC generator and pit checking mock-up. Mock-up for checking the output of single phase and three phase meter. Anti-collision, Navigation lights, landing lights mock-up. In La & Ni-Cad battery charging room. Constant voltage charge and constant current charger are available.
Instrument Labs of Wingsss College of Aviation Technology – WCAT Pune have a cock-pit mock-up-dash-board having completed mounted Instruments. Various test-equipments for Test/Calibration of aircraft systems and instruments, e.g. of Dead-Weight Tester, Barometer, Monometer, Air Date measurements, Aircraft Oxygen System. Mock-up, TGT / EGT/Fuel qty – Test mock-up. An aircraft instruments in dismantled condition for knowing constructional details.
Airframe Shops of Wingsss College of Aviation Technology – WCAT Pune is well equipped with flight control mock-up, Hydrolic and pneumatic system components, leading gear systems, Aircraft wing and also with appropriate assemblies and components, spares and test equipments together with charts and diagrams.
Engine Shops of Wingsss College of Aviation Technology – WCAT Pune is equipped with two Rolls Royce Avon Engines with the facility for demonstration of ground run-up of engine with appropriate components, spares, assemblies and Test equipments including non destructive testing and also engine instruments.
Workshop of Wingsss College of Aviation Technology – WCAT Pune has an excellent workshop comprising of fitting sections, machine shop, carpentry, and welding, rolling facilities. Metrology department is having all measuring instruments. Institute has its own buses to facilitate movement of students to & from between hostels & institute.
